Despite embarking on their first-ever continental campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the last 16, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This occasion offered a chance for several Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.
