Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be capsaicin spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

The charges follow an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
