The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in strength within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the team reach areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The healer defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the family.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Seekers and Planners groups.

Audiences can anticipate learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
