The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
