Aryna Sabalenka finished the tour with an notable twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive year.

The 27-year-old secured four tournament victories – the most on tour – which included successfully defending the US Open this past September versus Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles title.

A Year of Consistency

Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also won the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Achievements

Sabalenka concluded the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and collected a historic £11m in tournament winnings.

She received nearly 80% of the votes submitted by international tennis media.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match with the aim of "elevate women's tennis to a higher level".
