Barcelona Set to Play First Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
