Under Observation for Minor Injuries
The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his management team had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
This update on his health comes as the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the champion in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
